Sorrow in Meru

Dear Friends,

It is with sorrow that I write to tell you one of our sponsored children has died. Sally Mwenda, sponsored by John and Carla Goldwood succombed to AIDs yesterday. Her mother died in 2003 and Sally was being raised by her grandparents.

Please pray for them today, and please pray for all of our kids and their families.

Remembering God's promise that "the Lord draws near to the crushed in spirit," -- we ask for his presence among all of Sally's family and her friends at HOPE.

I am picturing Sally walking into Paradise hand-in-hand with Jesus.
