Welcome Dennis Mutuma

We are happy to welcome the nephew of Josephine and Peter Mburugu to our community. Dennis' life has not been easy, though you would never know it to talk with him, as he is certainly not given to self-pity. He sees his life as a series of challenges laced with a multitude of blessings, including finding his family, being able to complete high school thanks to Cherish sponsor, Kellie Campbell, and finally, procuring a coveted student visa to travel to the U.S.. Clearly God's hand has brought this young man into our midst.

You can read all about his story in The News Tribune, Mon., Feb. 18

In addition, you can come and welcome him in person at a reception hosted by Kellie and the Mburugu family at UPPC, Sunday, March 9 from 2-4. You will have an opportunity to hear his story and share in his dreams of getting a good education in order to help others by offering financial support should the Spirit move you.

Meanwhile, please continue to pray for peace to prevail in Kenya. In a letter from our sponsored son who is in his second year at Moi University in Kenya, Eric writes, finally there is calm in this great land called Kenya... for which we certainly give thanks to God. Recent news suggests that opposing political parties are trying to work together, so please continue to pray!
