This lovely young woman is Sarah Waiterero, one of our many sponsored kids. Sarah's entire village has been the benficiary of one sponsor's unique generosity. This girl's smile is worth more than a thousand words, don't you agree?!
We are happy to report that the annual summer camp for these kids was a big success. Over 150 people were in attendance and enjoyed good food, fellowship, recreation, and educational seminars. Additionally, materials were provided so the kids could write letters to sponsors. (Many families do not have even basic writing materials at home.) We are so looking forward to a new packet of letters and pix!
Personally, I love this annual camp because I know that it signals hope for all the people of Meru. They need to know they have not been forgotten. This event inspires all of us to continue, to sustain hope for a brighter future for the children of Kenya.
WE CELEBRATE WITH GREAT JOY as 17 students prepare to sit for exit exams for secondary school. The results of this exam in large part determine each student's future, so PLEASE, join us in prayer for them. SEVENTEEN STUDENTS WHO, BEFORE SEEKING ASSISTANCE THROUGH HOPE & CHERISH, HAD LITTLE HOPE FOR A FUTURE, now have hope, thanks to all of you.
Your prayers, cards, letters and donations are changing lives, including your own!
God bless you all.
p.s. Keep scrolling to meet our new HOPE secretary, Fridah Riinya! And note an important change to your right about addressing your envelopes when sending in donations!! Thanks.
